Hundreds Rally in Robesonia to ‘Back the Blue’

Hundreds gathered behind Robesonia Borough Hall Sunday afternoon for a ‘Back the Blue’ rally.

Speakers included Robesonia Mayor Randy Gartner, South Heidelberg Township Police Chief, Leon Grim, Trisha Wertz, widow of slain Reading police officer Scott Wertz, and Berks County Commissioner Christian Leinbach.

Sheriff Eric Weaknecht was scheduled to attend and speak. However, Commissioner Leinbach explained to the crowed the Sheriff recently came in contact with some who had COVID-19, and he is now self-quarantining.
