The Muhlenberg Township Parks & Recreation Department is planning a Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday, May 29th at 9am at Jim Dietrich Park near the flag pole.
The program will consist of Staff Sergeant Joel W. Sharp and State Rep. Mark Rozzi as speakers. The posting of the colors will be done by Muhlenberg Boy Scout Troops #161 and #155. Music will be provided by a Brass Choir from the Muhlenberg High School under the direction of Mr. Nathan Mohler.
Wreaths will be laid in honor of Gold Star families, Fallen Police Officers, Fallen Fire Fighters and all military branches.
Light refreshments will be served afterward at the park’s pavilion.
The public is invited to attend the event to recognize those who have given the ultimate sacrifice in the defense of our nation. Bringing a chair is recommended.
