Reading’s annual Groundhog Day tradition will return on Monday, Feb. 2, when Patty Pagoda makes her seasonal forecast at the Pagoda.
The 21st annual Patty Pagoda Groundhog Day event is scheduled for 7 a.m. in the Pagoda parking lot, with the prediction expected at sunrise around 7:10 a.m. The event is open to the public.
While visitors are welcome to attend the outdoor ceremony, the Pagoda building itself will remain closed as interior renovations continue.
The event is presented by two volunteer preservation organizations: The Foundation for the Reading Pagoda and Pagoda-Skyline, Incorporated.
