Reading Public Library Celebrity Bartender event raises over $17,500

The Reading Public Library’s Celebrity Bartender fundraising event held on May 15th raised over $17,500, surpassing the goal of $15,000.

Held at Saucony Creek Franklin Station Brewhub, Celebrity Bartenders included Kelsey Frankowski, David Farrar, Crystal Gilmore Harris, and Brad Weisman.

All drink tips and online donations supported the creation of a Reading Nook in the Children’s Area at the Main Library. The area will include design elements and comfortable family seating that will be a perfect spot for children to escape in their next adventure through reading.

Additionally, donations will be used to expand adult programming, such as book clubs and ESL Classes.
