The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s District 5 has announced several upcoming road work projects across Berks County next week, with most work scheduled during daytime hours.
On US 222 between the Lancaster County line and PA 73, PennDOT maintenance forces will perform other maintenance activities from February 17 through February 19. Work will take place between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day. Lane restrictions with flagging will be in place, and crews will be working at various locations throughout the week. In Tilden Township on Interstate 78 between Exit 29 (PA 61) and Exit 23 (Shartlesville), brush cutting is scheduled from February 17 through February 19. Crews will work on the shoulder between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day. Drivers are advised to use caution while traveling through the area. Rain may cause delays.
In Greenwich Township on Dunkels Church Road between Crystal Cave Road and Kohler’s Mill Road, brush cutting is planned for February 20. Work will occur from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. with shoulder work and flagging in place. Motorists should use caution in the work zone. Rain may cause delays.
