Due to the weekend winter forecast, Berks Area Regional Transportation Authority (BARTA) has announced it will not operate fixed-route bus service on Sunday, January 25, 2026.
BARTA Special Services shared-ride service will only operate medically necessary and essential worker trips. All services for both fixed-route bus service and non-essential shared ride service will be suspended for the entire day. Monday service will be evaluated Sunday afternoon to determine if service will operate on Monday.
BARTA’s Park-n-Transit Parking Garage located at 7th & Franklin Streets, Reading will be open for FREE during the City of Reading’s Snow Emergency Declaration. Parking will be FREE starting at Noon on Saturday.
