Arctic front moves through Berks, brings snow squall, falling temps

An arctic cold front moved through Berks County Saturday afternoon, bringing a snow squall with near whiteout conditions as it crossed Southeastern Pennsylvania.

Lasting roughly 20 minutes, the snow squall arrived in Northern Berks County around 1pm. No major traffic accidents were reported during the snow squall, only a few trees downed by gusts of wind.

A Wind Advisory is in effect for Berks County until 10pm Saturday. Northwest winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph are expected. Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
