PennDOT to perform brush cutting, bridge repairs, and sweeping in Berks County

PennDOT has announced that work will be scheduled on various state roads in Berks County beginning on April 17, 2023. The work will include brush cutting, bridge repairs, and sweeping.

Brush cutting will be performed on the following roads: Oley Turnpike Road between Limekiln Road and PA 662, Dry Road/Fredericksville Road/Huffs Church Road between Fleetwood Lyons Road and PA 100, Bowers Road between Main Street and Lyons Road.

Bridge repairs will be performed on the following roads: Wyomissing Road/Wyomissing Avenue between Vermont Road and PA 724 (Lancaster Avenue), US 222 between US 422 (West Shore Bypass) and PA 73 (Lake Shore Drive), Interstate 176 between Exit 11 (US 422) and Exit 7 (PA 10), US 222 between PA 724 and Business Route 222, Wyomissing Road between PA 625 (New Holland Road) and Vermont Road, US 222 between PA 73 and PA 724.

Sweeping will be performed on the following roads: US 222 between PA 73 and PA 724, US 422 between Lebanon County Line and Columbia Avenue, Crystal Ridge Road between Crystal Cave Road and US 222

For each project, lane restrictions will be in effect during the work hours of 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Motorists are advised to allow extra time for travel and to use caution in the work zones.
