Delaware Valley Development Company will revitalize the long-blighted property by constructing 28 interlocking townhomes with integral parking garages.

When completed, the building will host 12 walk-up apartments, and six three-bedroom townhomes, all with individual entrances and on-site parking.

Habitat for Humanity of Berks County is also working to revitalize the area. Habitat’s first build of the Buttonwood Gateway Project is located on West Buttonwood Street and features a three-bedroom, one and a half bath home.
