Reading Police make arrest in June Homicide case

The Reading Police Department Criminal Investigations Division has arrested a Reading man in connection with a shooting that left one person dead in the early morning hours of June 17.

According to a release by the Reading Police Department, Magnum Morrison was taken into custody on September 16 following an arrest warrant for 1st Degree Murder and related charges, Robbery and lesser included charges.

On June 17, Police were dispatched to the 600 block of North 10th Street around 1:18am for a shooting that resulted in the death of Kenhorst resident Orlando Rodríguez.

The investigation was led by Criminal Investigator Trevor Atkins.

Morrison is currently awaiting arraignment on the charges.
