Winter Weather Advisory issued for Berks ahead of snow storm

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather for Berks County beginning 7pm Thursday evening, February 24, 2022, to Friday at 1pm.

Mixed precipitation is expected. Total snow and sleet accumulations of up to 1 to 3 inches. Total ice accumulations of one tenth to one quarter of an inch.

Local power outages and tree damage are possible due to the ice. Travel could become very difficult. The hazardous conditions are expected to impact the Friday morning commute. Slow down and use extra caution if traveling.
