Officials in West Reading announced Sunday morning during a press conference that the body of another person was found deceased overnight at the R.M. Palmer explosion site.
The explosion occurred on Friday, March 24, 2023 at approximately 5pm at 17 South 2nd Ave. Since then, rescue crews have worked tirelessly to search for those missing.

Just after the press conference took place, first responders actively working the scene found one more person, who was confirmed deceased by the Berks County Coroner’s Office.
Currently, there are five confirmed deceased from the incident. Crews are still actively searching for the remaining two individuals.
