Man injured in shooting after fight over money, Reading police say

The Reading Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place overnight in the 200 block of Douglass Street.

The incident was reported just after midnight on Tuesday. Police say the 74-year-old victim sustained a single non-life-threatening wound.

Preliminary information provided by investigators suggests the man was in an altercation over money.

Police say there is no ongoing threat to public safety from the incident.
