Jayquan Miguel Sánchez, wanted in connection to the death of Quadell Spradley during a shooting on July 31, 2022 in the 1200 block of Church Street in Reading was arrested Saturday morning, August 5, 2023, following a shooting investigation in Chico, California.
Police say Sanchez was at a house party when Chico Police responded to a call for a reported shooting. Two people were injured in the incident and taken to a local hospital.
Upon arrival, officers cleared the residence and found Sanchez hiding under a bed. The Chico Police Department was initially unable to identify Sanchez after he gave false identification to authorities.
After a fingerprint scan, Sanchez’s identity was confirmed, and the arrest warrant for murder was seen along with other active warrants from the Chico Police Department.
Extradition was then approved by the Berks County District Attorney’s office with a date to be determined as Sanchez has other pending charges in California.
