The County of Berks recently received word from Kinsley Construction that the reopening of Ebling Memorial Bridge in Muhlenberg Township will be delayed into October of this year.
Ebling Memorial Bridge was scheduled to be reopened to traffic on Spring Valley Road over Bernhart’s Creek next week.
Kinsley Construction cited delays in relocating the existing water, sewer, and natural gas lines as reasons for moving the reopening to October. Berks County Transportation Planner, Alan Piper, said that the renovations to the bridge itself are proceeding on schedule as anticipated.
“We apologize for any inconveniences that this delay may cause county residents. Berks County is committed to ensuring the safe and satisfactory completion of this project” said a statement from the County.
