Man injured in early morning shooting on Elm Street in Reading

A man sustained a minor injury in an early morning shooting on Elm Street, according to the Reading Police Department.

On March 31, 2025, at approximately 1:02 a.m., officers responded to a report of shots fired inside a residence in the 300 block of Elm Street. Upon arrival, officers located the victims, including one male who suffered a graze wound to his ear. The man refused medical attention from medics at the scene and was not transported to the hospital.

While on scene, officers apprehended the suspect, and charges are pending, police said.

The investigation remains ongoing. Authorities are urging anyone with information or who may have witnessed the incident to contact the Reading Police Criminal Investigations Division at 610-655-6246.

Police say they will not be providing further comment at this time.
