Brandywine Heights Area School District invites public to celebrate opening of new multipurpose stadium

Brandywine Heights Area School District is excited to invite the public to the opening celebration of its new Multipurpose Stadium on Friday, September 5, 2025, at 4:00 PM at the High School – 103 Old Topton Road, Mertztown, PA 19539.

This modern facility includes a six-lane distance track, eight-lane sprint track, Legion NXT synthetic turf field by Shaw Sports, LED lighting, ADA-accessible seating, and expanded gathering areas. The project was funded through bonds and capital reserves already allocated for facility improvements, requiring no additional tax impact.

“This project is about creating opportunities for our students,” said Michael Pinelli, Director of Athletics & Facilities. “At Brandywine Heights, we focus on the whole child—not just as athletes, but as young people preparing for their futures. This stadium provides a safe, modern place to compete, train, and grow. It’s built for today and designed to inspire success long into the future.”

The event will open with a performance by the Brandywine Heights Marching Band and continue with a ribbon cutting featuring district leaders, students, and project partners. Athletic matches will follow:
