National Association of Counties (NACo) President J.D. Clark appointed Berks County, Pennsylvania Chair Christian Leinbach to a one-year term as chair of NACo’s Midsize County Caucus.
Wise County, Texas Judge J.D. Clark issued leadership appointments shortly after being sworn in as NACo’s president on July 14, at the conclusion of NACo’s annual conference, the nation’s largest convening of county leaders.
“I am deeply honored to be appointed as Chair of this new NACo caucus. This role carries significant meaning to me as it presents an incredible opportunity to address the unique challenges and opportunities faced by counties with rural and suburban/urban regions within a single county. I look forward to collaborating with my fellow county leaders across the United States.”
Active in NACo for many years, Leinbach is a member of the NACo board of directors, has served as a member of the Transportation Committee, a vice chair for the Membership Standing Committee, and a member of the Audit Standing Committee. Launched in 2025, the Midsize County Caucus focuses on the distinct challenges and opportunities shared by midsized counties across the country.
