Police investigating vehicle break-ins, firearms stolen in Earl Township

Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a series of vehicle break-ins near Boyertown that resulted in the theft of firearms and other items.

According to troopers, the incident occurred around 3 a.m. on August 30, 2025, when an unknown suspect entered multiple unlocked vehicles parked at a property on Fancy Hill Road. Items reported stolen include a black Taurus revolver, a black BB gun, a holster, and a Taurus speed loader. The estimated value of the stolen revolver was listed at $100.

Police said the stolen property was taken from three vehicles.

Investigators believe the break-ins may be connected to a second incident on September 2, 2025, when a neighbor on Boyertown Pike reported their unlocked vehicle had also been entered around 6:30 a.m. While nothing was reported stolen in that case, several items not belonging to the victim were left behind.

Troopers noted the similarities between the two cases and said they believe the incidents are linked.
