Joshua Caltagirone announces run for state representative in 126th district

Berks County resident Joshua Caltagirone has announced his candidacy for state representative in Pennsylvania’s 126th legislative district. He will seek election in 2026.

Caltagirone, who was raised in Berks County and continues to live and work in the area, said his decision to run came after conversations with community members who expressed interest in additional choices for representation. “Being raised in Berks County, working here and now raising my children in the 126th, I have a deep understanding of our community’s needs, as I like to say I actually have skin in the game.” he said in the announcement.

In outlining his platform, Caltagirone highlighted support for labor unions, reproductive rights, and tax reforms aimed at reducing the burden on families. He also voiced support for what he described as “common-sense gun laws” and emphasized investment in education, particularly expanded access to technical programs.

“Education is the foundation of our future, and we must invest in better resources and expanded access to technical education for our children,” the announcement stated.

Caltagirone said he hopes to represent the district “with empathy and dedication” if elected. His campaign website, JCforPA.com, provides additional information about his candidacy, events, and campaign details.
