Police investigate attempted vehicle theft in Boyertown

Eastern Berks Regional Police are investigating an attempted theft of a vehicle that occurred early Tuesday morning, September 16, 2025.

According to investigators, the incident happened around 2:00 a.m. at a business along Route 73 in Boyertown. Surveillance revealed a white SUV circling the property before parking nearby. Two individuals then entered the business’s parking lot, broke into a truck, and attempted to start its engine.

When they were unsuccessful, police said the suspects returned to the SUV and left the area, last seen traveling on Route 73.

Authorities are asking for the public’s help in identifying those involved. Anyone with information is urged to submit an anonymous tip to Crime Alert Berks County. Cash rewards of up to $10,000 are available if a tip leads to an arrest.
