Cocktails and Classics event raises nearly $125,000 for Reading Public Library

The Reading Public Library Foundation has announced that their fifteenth annual “Cocktails and Classics” raised nearly $125,000.

Director of Advancement and Communication, Carolyn Shultz Spano, says the event that took place on September 26th drew in over 300 guests at the DoubleTree by Hilton Reading.

Proceeds raised from the event directly support the everyday programs, services, and daily operation of the Reading Public Library.

“The proceeds raised fuel everything we do at the library, from innovative programs and services to the welcoming spaces where our community connects and grows,” said Shultz Spano. “Thanks to this incredible support, we can continue to meet the evolving needs of Reading with creativity, compassion, and impact.”

Although the fundraiser is over, there is still time to support the library’s programming and services. The Foundation accepts cash, checks, or online gifts. More information can be found at rplfoundation.org.
