This year marked the 31st Anniversary of the Pink Ribbon Week Charity Challenge of the Breast Cancer Support Services of Berks County, and what a celebration it was! The week was filled with fun, community spirit, and incredible generosity — all in support of those affected by breast cancer right here in Berks County.
The festivities included Ladie’s Day, Couples Twilight, Men’s Ham & Eggs Golf Outing with a putting contest, and a silent auction. The challenge teed off with the Ladies Golf & Luncheon on October 2, followed by Couples Twilight on October 3, and wrapped up with Men’s Golf on October 5. Throughout the week, the Berkshire Country Club was beautifully Pinked Out with raffles, comfort bag drives, silent auctions, and plenty of prizes!
“We are thrilled to share that this year’s events raised more than $85,000 for Breast Cancer Support Services of Berks (BCSS)! Since its inception, the Pink Ribbon Week Charity Challenge has raised an astounding $1,190,000+ to benefit BCSS and everyone in our community impacted by breast cancer” said the organization in a press release.
“This event is especially close to our hearts, as BCSS’s founding members were Berkshire Country Club members who believed deeply in supporting local women through their breast cancer journeys.”
The organization sends a heartfelt thank you to The Berkshire Country Club Board of Directors, Members, Management, and Staff for their incredible support and extend a sincere appreciation to the Pink Ribbon Week Charity Challenge Committee for their tireless efforts: Rebekah Smith (Chair), Carol Wells, Kathleen Blaum, Jamie Denunzio, Sharon Heck, Jenny Van Horn, and Susan Eastham.
“We cannot wait to celebrate the 32nd Anniversary of this wonderful event in October 2026! With your continued generosity, the legacy of the Pink Ribbon Week Charity Challenge will keep growing — $1,190,000+ raised and counting!”
