The City of Reading has announced the top performers from the 2025 Holiday Parade, highlighting standout entries across several categories and recognizing the creativity and enthusiasm shown by participating groups.
In the Best Band category, the Reading High School Marching Band earned first place, followed by the Twin Valley High School Band in second and the Wyomissing Area Jr./Sr. High School Marching Band in third. Parade judges noted the strong musical performances and spirited energy displayed by each ensemble.
The Millersville University Dance Team took the top spot in the Best Performance category, with Roxy’s Dance Expressions placing second and the Reading High School Dance Team finishing third. Each group brought dynamic routines that added to the festive atmosphere along Penn Street.
For Best Float, the Reading Area Water Authority claimed first place for its creative display. Arrows Christian Academy earned second, and the Rajah Shrine Hospital Services Unit received third. All three organizations were recognized for imaginative designs that helped bring the parade’s holiday theme to life.
This year’s judging panel included Todd Migliaccio, Vice Chancellor and Chief Academic Officer at Penn State Berks; Erica Caceres, Advancement Communication Coordinator at Albright College; and Payton Mentzer, a member of Kutztown University’s Council of Trustees.
City officials extended their appreciation to all participants for contributing to another successful parade and congratulated the winners for their exceptional work and commitment to the community tradition.
