Mayor Eddie Morán announced today that snow removal operations continue throughout the City of Reading, with Public Works crews working extended hours to clear priority corridors, Snow Emergency routes, and neighborhood streets.
Crews Currently Working: Public Works crews are actively clearing snow in the following areas: 200 block of N. 5th Street, 1100 block of Perkiomen Avenue, 300 block of Spring Street, 400 block of Centre Avenue and the 800 block of Walnut Street.
Areas Completed Today: Penn Street – 200, 300, and 400 blocks, N. 4th Street – 000 block, S. 4th Street – 000 block, Perkiomen Avenue – 1100 through 1500 blocks, Walnut Street – 400 and 500 blocks, West Spring Street – 100 and 200 blocks, Spring Street – 100, 200, and 300 blocks and N. Front Street – 800, 900, and 1000 blocks.
Scheduled Snow Removal for Tuesday, February 3, 2026 The following streets will be posted “No Parking” for snow removal operations: N. 13th Street – 1000 through 1900 blocks, N. 5th Street – 200 through 1400 blocks, Spring Street – 400 through 1200 blocks and Centre Avenue – 400 through 900 blocks.
Please note that this schedule is subject to change based on weather conditions and the pace of operations.
Important Reminder to Residents: Residents are strongly encouraged to remove vehicles from posted streets during scheduled snow removal operations to allow crews to safely and efficiently clear roadways. Vehicles left in posted “No Parking” zones may be subject to ticketing or towing.
