‘In Nature’s Studio’ returns to Reading Public Museum Arboretum

Reading Theater Project will bring an outdoor celebration of art and community to the Reading Public Museum Arboretum on Sunday, Aug. 23, with performances staged throughout the grounds.

“In Nature’s Studio,” presented in collaboration with the Reading Public Museum, will feature performances and creative works along the paths of the museum’s arboretum. Attendees will be able to explore the performances at their own pace or follow a guided group between performance stations.

“The Reading Public Museum Arboretum is an exceptional outdoor stage for us to exhibit art, nature, community, and collaboration,” said Jewell Brown, managing director of Reading Theater Project.

The event will feature dancers, singers, musicians and painters, as well as large-scale puppetry, transforming the arboretum into an outdoor gallery of performances.

Participating artists include Timothy Richard Spatz, Judd Silverman, JCWK Dance Lab, Jessica Warchal-King, Karis Guzman, Arielle Ridley, Cady Monasmith, Sarena Gable, Megan Zalek, Matt and Jeanette Fotis, sërenity, Steve Fabian, The RALLYRousers, Richard Cary Joel, Adam Leon, Jewell A. Brown, Mike Shott of GMS and Rob Rodriguez of Crux.

According to Reading Theater Project, “In Nature’s Studio” provides performing artists with an opportunity to create new work, experiment with theatrical forms and connect with the Reading-area arts community.

The event begins at 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 23, at the Reading Public Museum Arboretum, 500 Museum Road in Reading.

Tickets have a suggested price of $15, with a “Pay What You Decide” option available through Reading Theater Project.
