Berks County Controller Joe Rudderow has been elected first vice president of the Pennsylvania State Association of County Controllers.
Rudderow was elected to the position during the association’s annual meeting at the end of July. As first vice president, he will serve on the organization’s Executive Committee, which develops educational and legislative priorities based on direction from its membership.
Rudderow was also appointed chairman of the association’s Education Committee for the coming year.
“I am honored to serve as First Vice President of PSACC and to have been appointed Chairman of our Education Committee for the coming year,” Rudderow said.
Rudderow also announced that Berks County will host the 2027 PSACC Summer Conference next July as part of the county’s 275th anniversary celebration.
“Wow — what a proud Berks County moment!” Rudderow said. “This tremendous opportunity to showcase the very best of Berks County to counties across Pennsylvania.”
The association’s Executive Committee also includes President Jason Moser of Centre County, Second Vice President Maria Longo of Beaver County, Third Vice President Heather Sheatler of Washington County, Secretary A.C. Stickel of Blair County and Treasurer Mary Bateman of Dauphin County. Immediate Past President Greg Bower of York County will also continue serving on the committee.
The Pennsylvania State Association of County Controllers was established under Act 129 of 1919, although county controllers first met to discuss issues related to their offices in 1914. The association consists of elected county controllers, deputies, internal auditors and solicitors.
