The Reading Theater Project has announced its 2026-27 season, featuring a mix of script-in-hand readings, workshops, festivals and a full-length production under the season theme “Kaleidoscope.”
The season began Sunday, Aug. 23, with “In Nature’s Studio,” an arts festival held at the Reading Public Museum Arboretum. The event followed the organization’s official season announcement a day earlier through a video with BCTV.
Among the recurring events planned for the season are Playwright Table Reads, which will be held on the third Thursday of each month from 7 to 9 p.m. at Holy Cross United Methodist Church in Reading.
Reading Theater Project will also bring back its 5-Minute Fringe festival for a 12th year. This season’s festival will carry the theme “Malfunctions.”
The schedule also includes a full-length production of “Faithless,” an original play written by Reading-based playwright Kimberly Patterson.
