John Paul II Center for Special Learning recently named Emmalee McCullough the Adult Program Director. Prior to her promotion, she was the program’s Quality Compliance Officer.
“We are thrilled to have Emmalee step into the role of Adult Program,” says Kaylee Simcik, Principal. “Emmalee brings a wealth of experience, a deep understanding of the individuals and families we serve, and a genuine passion for creating meaningful opportunities for every person in our program. Her experience in quality and compliance, combined with her background in direct care, case management, and supervision, gives her a unique perspective and makes her an incredible asset to our team. Most importantly, Emmalee leads with compassion, respect, and a strong belief in the potential of every individual. I am excited to see the positive impact she will have on our adult program and look forward to all that she will accomplish in this new role.”
McCullough brings more than 10 years of experience in behavioral health and social services to her new role as Program Director at John Paul II Center for Special Learning. Her experience includes direct care, case management, supervision, quality and compliance leadership. These roles have given her a unique understanding of the many different perspectives that come together to provide meaningful services. She has worked closely with individuals, families, staff, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure programs meet state and accreditation standards while never losing sight of the person at the center of the work.
“Throughout my career, I have been guided by a simple belief: every individual deserves to be treated with dignity, compassion, and respect, and every person who supports them deserves to feel valued and supported,” McCullough says.
McCullough has a bachelor’s degree in social work from Lock Haven University. She and her husband Joe reside in Fleetwood.
