A 42-year-old Birdsboro woman died following a two-vehicle crash Monday morning in Oley Township, according to the Berks County Coroner’s Office.
The crash occurred at the intersection of Philadelphia Avenue, Route 73, and Snyder Road. Calls regarding the crash began coming into the Berks County 911 Center at approximately 6:18 a.m. Monday, Sept. 14.
The woman was identified as Agustina M. Stevens, 42, of the 200 block of Chestnut Street in Birdsboro Borough.
Stevens was transported by ambulance to Reading Hospital following the crash. Despite lifesaving efforts, she was pronounced dead in the emergency department at 8:23 a.m., according to the coroner’s office.
The cause and manner of death remain pending as the investigation continues.
The Berks County Coroner’s Office said it was assisted in the investigation by the Central Berks Regional Police Department.
