RiverFest Returns to Muhlenberg’s Jim Dietrich Park August 27

Muhlenberg Township will once again be hosting RiverFest, Muhlenberg’s Food and Music Festival, in Jim Dietrich Park, starting Friday, August 27, majestically located along a trail that follows a bend in the Schuylkill River.

There will be two music stages; one electric and one acoustic highlighting local musical talent with the river as its backdrop. In total, 30+ musical acts scheduled over the three days performing Bluegrass, Classic Rock, Jazz, Country, Indie music and so much more.

A variety of food vendors will be available to dazzle your taste buds. Some vendors include Scott’s Gyro Box, Norte Sur, Candy Ice Cream, Mad J’s BBQ, Two Can Catering and Kettle Corn, Sweet Ride Ice Cream, Spuds, and Festival Island Noodles just to name a few.

There will also be wine, beer and hard cider available to quench the thirst of the 21 and over crowd. This year, River Fest will also include Friday, August 27 from 4 to 10PM.

Friday’s activities will be centered around the farmhouse with music, beer, frozen drinks and food vendors. On Saturday, August 28 from 10AM to 10PM and Sunday, August 29 from 10AM to 7PM the entire trial will be open with the artisan crafters, direct sale businesses, the Reading Racing Historical Society and more.
