GRCA Names Aaron Gantz Senior Director of Economic Development

The Greater Reading Chamber Alliance has announced that it has named Aaron Gantz as Senior Director of Economic Development.

She will be responsible for management of business attraction, business retention and expansion projects in Greater Reading. In addition, Gantz will lead efforts to position Berks County as the location of choice for new investments.

Gantz will transition from her current role at GRCA as the Executive Director of Downtown Development. With established connections in the Greater Reading community and beyond, as well as a 2021 strategic plan in hand, Gantz is ready to hit the ground running. Soon, GRCA will be hiring a new person to fulfill Gantz’s former position and will continue its commitment to downtown revitalization.

“As the premier economic development organization in Greater Reading, we are excited to add Aaron’s expertise to lead our economic development team. She will further strengthen GRCA as the go-to organization for economic development,” said Jim Gerlach, GRCA president and CEO.

Gantz graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Arts, Political Science and a Master of Public Administration. She brings extensive knowledge of economic development to the organization. Prior to her role at GRCA, Gantz served as the Economic Development Director for the Greater Reading Economic Partnership.

Gantz was born and raised in Greater Reading. Her commitment to the Greater Reading community is strong. She sits on numerous community boards and committees, including the Reading Symphony Orchestra, West Reading Economic Development Committee and Smart Growth Alliance of Berks County.

“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to serve the community and organization in an expanded economic development role. I look forward to continuing to enhance strategic partnerships at the local, regional, state and national levels to continue to advance the economic prosperity of the Greater Reading community,” said Gantz.
