Home Health Care Agency Gives Hundreds of Toys to Children in Reading

Daily Dove Care, a home health care agency in downtown Reading, gave hundreds of Christmas toys away Wednesday night to help local families in need.

Families lined up as early as 1pm on Penn Street to be one of the first to receive a toy. By the time the event began, at 4pm, the line stretched around the block to 6th and Court Street.

Children were allowed inside the store front in small groups to choose from all sorts of items from bikes, scooters, to dolls, and even bedding.

Making it all possible was owner of Daily Dove Care Faye Robinson. “We’re facing difficult times. Kids are in their houses, not knowing what happened in March” said Robinson.

“Adults have to coupe with this, but kids just shut down. This is something to bring them outside. We got some toys that will bring them outside. We got physical toys, basketballs, footballs, bikes, so they can enjoy some outside time. It’s so important for these kids just get outside.”
