Casha Rosario always knew that she had a talent for helping women see their own unique beauty. As an entrepreneurial single mom, she was left with one question: how could she turn her talents and passion into a business endeavor, or as she said, “How could I help people, and make money at the same time?”
The answer to that question debuted on Friday, December 11th in West Reading, when Rosario cut the ribbon on her boutique, Snazzy Beauty Supply.
As a one-time resident of The Children’s Home of Reading, Rosario is both intimately familiar with what it means to truly work hard, and how important it is to give back to the community.
Although she works several jobs in addition to opening a boutique, she still finds the time to return and mentor the young girls who currently reside at The Children’s Home.
“I show the girls in the community that they are beautiful,” she said. “[I want them to know] if you work hard enough, you can do it…it’s all about who you put yourself around; who you invest in.”
While noting that opening a new business during a pandemic was “scary…because nothing is for sure!”, Rosario was grateful to be opening Snazzy Beauty Supply on Penn Avenue, a place she dearly loves.
“It’s like a little SoHo here, so safe and fun!” she said. “There’s always something to do–the atmosphere made me want [to open a store] here.”
Snazzy Beauty Supply will offer a wide selection of curated items that Rosario has specifically chosen to help women enhance their beauty. From jewelry, to clothing, to wigs, to sequinned face masks, Rosario promises that her inventory will always include something unique. “I’m always looking for what’s in; what’s trendy,” she said.
When asked about future events at the boutique, Rosario shared that she is mostly excited to give back to the community, highlighting the girls at the Children’s Home and cancer patients in particular. “We’ve got to give, and build each other up!” she said.
As Rosario looks forward to her well-deserved opening, she shared, “Spread the word; come on by! I want everyone to be welcome, and know that they ARE welcome!”
