Berks Book Bonanza will once again open its doors to the public for the annual gently-used book sale scheduled to run Friday, September 20 through Sunday, September 22 at the County of Berks South Campus location, 400 E. Wyomissing Avenue in Mohnton. This will be the organization’s first sale since 2021 when it left its temporary residence at the Berkshire Mall.
A long-standing fundraiser in Berks County, Berks Book Bonanza is one of the largest book sale operations in the local area, offering gently used books, DVDs, CDs, vinyl, puzzles, and other items at remarkably low prices of $2.00 or less for general items and specialty materials and collectible books priced as marked.
There are a few notable differences this year compared to previous sales.
The sale will run over three days: Friday, September 20 from 10:00am-7:00pm. Saturday, September 21 from 10:00am-7:00pm. Sunday, September 22 from 10:00am-5:00pm.
There will not be an early admission sale date for the public. All three days will be free admission with Sunday earmarked for the $5 Fill-a-Bag sale.
No carts will be permitted inside the building.
There will not be a holding room available for large orders. Shoppers are encouraged to make smaller trips to their vehicle throughout their time at the sale.
The sale is cash or check only with no on-site ATMs available. Identification will be required for all check purchases.
The sale entrance will located behind the building by the covered ramp. Volunteers will be on hand to restock items throughout the sale.
The book sale fundraiser benefits two local organizations: the Friends of Berks County Public Libraries and Reading Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW). All sale materials are donated by Berks Countians with proceeds supporting area libraries and providing scholarships to women.
