UPDATE: Police say the suspect, Gisaiah Delgado, is in custody. He turned himself in at Police Headquarters Tuesday evening.
Original Article: The Reading Police Department is searching for a man who they say was involved in a shooting that left one man injured Monday morning, April 11, in the 1000 block of Spring Street.
Police responded to the call at 10:05am and located an 18-year-old male who had been shot one time in the upper left leg. A Reading Fire Department ambulance transported the male to the trauma center at Reading Hospital.
During the course of the investigation, Police say an argument occurred inside a home in the 1000 block of Spring Street between the victim and another 18-year-old male, Gisaiah Delgado.
Investigators added that Gisaiah left the home and entered a nearby alleyway, followed by the victim. As the victim approached the alleyway, Gisaiah ran toward the victim with a gun and shot the victim. The victim then fell into the roadway on Spring Street.
Gisaiah then approached the victim and helps him back to his feet. Gisaiah then chased the victim a short distance before re-entering the home that he left. Gisaiah fled the house through the rear prior to officers arriving.
Police also said Gisaiah was under juvenile probation supervision at the time of the incident.
Gisaiah Delgado is still at large, and an active arrest warrant has been issued for him. Police added that he is presumed to be armed and dangerous.
