The Reading Police Department Criminal Investigations Division released video Friday morning which shows two people they say are connected to the fatal shooting that occurred in the 300 block of McKnight Street in Reading on August 21, 2022 at approximately 6pm.
The incident resulted in the death of Josmar Ceballos, a 28-year-old male. A 49-year-old male was also injured in this incident.
“Through our investigation, we are seeking assistance in identifying the 2 unknown males in the attached video,” said Criminal Investigator Nicholas Epolito.
“These males were seen in the general area of the incident for several minutes prior to the shooting. We are asking anyone who may have seen or interacted with the individuals to contact us. Any details, no matter how small, may be helpful in moving this investigation forward and achieving justice for Mr. Ceballos.”
The Reading Police Department was called to the 300 Block of McKnight Street for a male who was reportedly shot. When Police arrived on-scene, they located Ceballos deceased in the block.
The other male was transported to Reading Hospital prior to Police arrival, where he was treated. Both males were struck by gunfire.
Investigators say they received reports that 2 males were seen walking in the area with masks on leading up to the shooting.
