Scholarships Address Financial Aid Needs of Growing University Population

Alvernia University introduces five new undergraduate transfer scholarships to meet the financial aid needs of one of the university’s fastest-growing student populations.

“These new merit-based scholarships will provide much-needed financial assistance to students in need and will enhance the educational and cultural experience offered on our campuses,” said Alvernia University President John R. Loyack.

“Through the Reading CollegeTowne initiative, we look forward to the continued growth and diversification of our student body by meeting the financial aid and service needs of all our students.”

For undergraduate transfer students, the Provost, Bernardine, Dean and Transfer scholarships award university-sponsored financial aid packages ranging from $15,000 to $21,000 based on cumulative grade-point averages.

In addition, students can earn a $1,000 scholarship if they have a 3.0 grade-point average from all their previous intuitions and apply and submit their FAFSA to the university before April 1, 2021.
