Berks Agricultural Resource Network recently launched a fun way to support local farmers and roadside stands. On Monday, the organization launched the B.A.R.N.OPOLY challenge to celebrate and promote the growing agricultural community in Berks County.
Thirty one farm markets, farms, and roadside stands are participating in B.A.R.N.OPOLY. Guests can pick up an official playing card at any of the participating markets.
There is no purchase necessary to plat the game. Players are asked to register on the B.A.R.N. website and submit their card for drawings and prizes. The game runs June 21 through August 21.
To kick off the B.A.R.N.OPOLY tour, the organization held a special ribbon cutting ceremony Monday at Weavers Orchard in Robeson Township. Guests included Berks County Commissioners, Senator Judy Schwank, Greater Reading Chamber Alliance President Jim Gerlach, and Representative Mark Gillen.
