The Animal Rescue League of Berks County (ARL) announced the appointment of Stacey Cole as Chief Development Officer. Cole will spearhead the fundraising initiatives to support the life-saving work at the shelter.
Cole comes to the ARL from the Reading Hospital Foundation where she served as the Director of Stewardship and Special Projects. She focused on donor cultivation, community partnerships, and special campaigns such as reenergizing the annual No Shave November fundraiser.
“I’m honored to join a team of dedicated and compassionate animal lovers,” said Cole. “My goal at the ARL is continue building relationships with our community partners to enhance our animal care and life-saving programs.”
Prior to Reading Hospital Foundation, Stacey was the Director of Annual Giving at Alvernia University, where she created their annual giving day campaign, “All In For Alvernia,” oversaw the direct mail program, refreshed their class giving program, and managed the annual athletics giving competition. She also served as the Associate Director of The Hill Fund & The 1851 Society at The Hill School; Associate Director, Senior Class & Young Alumni at Lehigh University; and Area Coordinator at Arcadia University.
“Stacey is a natural fit to take over the fundraising program following her prior involvement in our organization’s events committees throughout the years,” said ARL’s CEO Ashley Mikulsky. “After so many years leading this department, I am excited to see her expand upon our efforts and breathe fresh life into the ways in which donors can make impacts in our pet’s lives.”
Cole received her certification in Project Management from Alvernia University, her Master’s in Education from Alvernia University, and her Bachelor of Science in Sociology and criminal Justice from York College of Pennsylvania.
