ARL to offer mobile cat-adoptions at the Guts & Glory Expo Saturday at Penn State Berks

The Animal Rescue League of Berks County has partnered with My Gut Instinct to host mobile cat adoptions during the Guts & Glory Digestive and Wellness Expo this Saturday, September 28 at the Perkins Plaza Event Lawn at Penn State Berks, 1801 Broadcasting Road, Reading, PA 19610, from 10 AM – 3 PM.

The adoption event will include cats and kittens looking for a loving home with adoption fees varying by pet. Adopters must go through the ARL’s regular process to adopt, including completing an adopter’s profile and speaking with an adoption counselor to ensure that the pet they select is a good match for their home, family, and lifestyle. Adopters will also want to bring a cat carrier (or they can purchase one from the ARL for $5.)

“We are grateful for the continuous support offered by My Gut Instinct over the years,” said José Joel Delgado-Rivera, Chief Communications Officer at ARL. “Providing a space where we can highlight adoptable animals during the event helps us give more visibility to the pets under our care and increase their chances of finding a loving home.”

My Gut Instinct will also host a donation drive to benefit the ARL during the event.

“Guts and Glory Digestive and Wellness Expo is a free community-wide celebration of health for all ages and all living beings, sharing resources and showcasing all the beautiful offerings in our community that people can embrace, employ, and lean on to improve and maintain longevity: longevity within our own lives, longevity of our lives within our community, and longevity in our deeply rooted relationships and interactions with our planet and all living things,” said Aparna Mele, MD President and Founder of My Gut Instinct.

“Animal health is very important to us, as the welfare of our planet’s animals is directly affected by human interaction with animals, and it is our duty to ensure all animals are treated humanely, responsibly, and with respect. At My Gut Instinct, we are proud to collaborate with and support the work of Animal Rescue League of Berks County in keeping the animals in our community safe and placing them in loving environments.”
