Berks Community Health Center has announced the hiring of Laura Mattavi as Chief Financial Officer. Laura joins BCHC’s senior leadership team providing leadership in financial management, strategic planning and business development.

We are excited about our future, including opening new locations and adding services to better serve the Berks community. Laura has the skills necessary to provide steady and wise financial leadership to help make these dreams a reality.”
Prior to coming to BCHC, Laura was the CFO of the OAA Orthopaedic Specialists in Allentown. She has also served as CFO at Holy Family Senior Living in Bethlehem and Prospectus Berco in Reading. Laura earned a Business of Healthcare Specialization Certificate from the University of Pennsylvania and is recognized as a Certified Revenue Cycle Representative through the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA).
She received her MBA from Kennesaw State University in Georgia after graduating with her BS in Accounting from the University of Pittsburgh. Laura is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) and Chief, the largest network for women executives.
Berks Community Health Center opened its first site in 2012 in downtown Reading at 838 Penn St. In addition to this site, BCHC currently offers services at two other locations in Reading (1040 Liggett St. and 1110 Rockland St.) as well as a mobile unit, Wellness on Wheels.
