Berks History center announces free admission for Veterans in 2023

As if the kickoff to Berks History Center’s Spring 2023 season was not exciting enough, the organization is thrilled to announce that beginning on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, all military veterans, active-duty personnel, and their guests can enjoy free admission to BHC for a period of one calendar year.

Free admission is courtesy of a generous monetary donation that the BHC recently received from an individual who wishes to remain anonymous. The donation was later matched by BHC trustee and supporter, Lori Muhlenberg.

All veterans and active-duty personnel must show their military ID for the free admission until March 1, 2024, and can enjoy BHC’s museum exhibits such as A Snapshot in Time: The Photography Collection of Dr. William A. Haman, and the brand-new Wyomissing Band Exhibit: Celebrating 100 Years, which opened to the public on Wednesday, February 15, 2023.

“We are thrilled to provide this special offering to military veterans and active-duty service people who sacrifice so much,” said BHC Executive Director, Benjamin Neely.

“We encourage guests to take advantage of this opportunity to visit, view the thousands of special items in our collections, and learn about Berks County’s unique cultural heritage.”
