Public libraries in Berks County will experience a system upgrade next week following a three-day freeze of the online catalog. All patrons with a Berks County Public Libraries card will be unable to access their online accounts or place holds on materials from February 5-7.
Library users may still check out books and other materials that are on hold or at the library during this period. Patrons will be required to bring along their physical library card to complete all transactions.
The new system will go live on February 8. Following its launch, all library cardholders will have their current passwords reset to the last four digits of the phone number listed on their account.
