9/16/20 – All testing has come back and the boil water notice that was given on Monday September 14, 2020 to the area of the water main break at the intersection of N 13th Street and Oley Street has been lifted.

9/14/20 – Reading Area Water Authority crews are working to fix a main break in the Northeast section of Reading Monday morning.

The break was reported at 6:15am. Crews are currently working at 13th and Oley Street repairing a 12″ water main break in the intersection.

The main break has caused a loss of positive water pressure to the higher elevations, 13th Street and north, up to Hampden Blvd and Lorraine Roads areas.

Officials say the main break has affected up to 400 customers.

A Boil Water Advisory has been issued for Northeast Reading. RAWA is advising anyone that lost water completely should boil water until it has been tested and passed all testing.
