After renovating the former Earth Rhythms building on Penn Avenue in West Reading, the O’Neill family cut the ribbon on their latest store, the Empire Home Design Center.
The Design Center, an expansion to their Home Center store in Bern Township, offers space for clients to meet with design experts one-on-one, in a central location in the County.
Friday nights ribbon cutting was attended by both community members, vendors, and local elected officials. “Melinda and Harry, Thank you very much for investing in West reading” said West Reading Mayor Andrew Kearney.
”On behalf of the West Reading Community Revitalization Foundation, we want to thank you very much for taking the leap of faith and bringing another part of your business into West Reading. Congratulations, and best wishes.”
The entire interior of the 1,500 square foot building has been renovated and showcases a variety of products from kitchens, flooring, bath, and accessories.
”This isn’t just a feeder store for our Leesport store, but also a comfortable environment for our clients to set appointments, sit down, and design any part of their home” said Melinda O’Neill, Co-owner of Empire Home Center. ”I am more than thrilled. I don’t want to leave here. I love it!”
