John Paul II Center for Special Learning has announced the approval of four new members to its Board of Directors. Beginning their three-year terms are:
Robert Firely, Jr. is the Chief Administrative Officer and Chief Financial Officer for TRIOSE. He currently serves on the boards of the United Way of Berks County, Berks County Industrial Development Authority, Vice-Chair of the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance, and Penn State Health – St. Joseph.
Tom Henefer is a partner with Stevens & Lee, where he is the Co-Chair of the firm’s Litigation Department. He previously served as a member of the Parish Pastoral Council at Saint Benedict and currently serves as the Coordinator of that Parish’s Eucharistic Ministers. He also is a member of the Trust Advisor’s Board of Because We are Catholic (A/K/A the Bishop’s Annual Appeal).
Maria Nawa is Senior Diagnostics Project Manager for Abbott Diagnostics Business. She has previously volunteered with the IM ABLE Foundation and Lifeline of Berks County.
Kathy Nevel is a former Chair of the JPII Board. She is an Adjunct Member of the faculty at Alvernia University and previously held various management and team-lead positions at Carpenter Technology.
