Lennar breaks ground on 441 new homes at Broadcast District in Wyomissing

Construction is underway on a new residential community in Wyomissing that will bring 441 townhomes and single-family homes to the planned Broadcast District mixed-use development.

Lennar announced Thursday, October 8, that it has broken ground on the residential portion of the project, which will combine housing with retail, dining, recreation and community amenities.

Developed in partnership with Concordia Group and SJC Ventures, Broadcast District will feature a 120,000-square-foot retail center anchored by Whole Foods Market. Other planned retailers include Sephora and Shake Shack.

“Broadcast District brings a new dimension of walkable, connected community life to this part of Berks County,” said Tench Tilghman, division president of Lennar’s Pennsylvania-Delaware Division. “With green spaces, everyday essentials, and shared destinations woven directly into the neighborhood, Broadcast District offers something new and distinctive for the area – a place designed to make everyday life more convenient, connected and vibrant.”

The residential development will include five home collections offering eight floor plans ranging from approximately 1,200 to 4,700 square feet. The homes are intended to accommodate a variety of buyers, including first-time homeowners and those looking to move into larger properties.

According to Lennar, home sales are expected to begin in winter 2026, with starting prices in the $300,000 range. Prospective buyers will be able to tour six decorated model homes, including five townhomes and one single-family home.

The company said homes will include features such as stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops and designer fixtures as part of its standard home packages.

Plans for the neighborhood also include outdoor recreational amenities, including a dog park, fitness areas, community gathering spaces, green spaces and a one-mile walking trail.

The development will be located near Routes 422 and 222, providing access to surrounding communities and employment centers. Nearby destinations include Blue Marsh Lake and Penn State Berks. The neighborhood will be within the Wilson School District.

Broadcast District is planned as a walkable community where residents will have access to shopping, restaurants and recreational spaces within the development.

Additional information about the homes is available through Lennar at 484-960-7259.
