Berks and Lancaster County residents are invited to cool off and learn more about fostering this summer, as CHOR Youth & Family Services hits the road with its “Get the Scoop on Foster Care” Tour. The initiative, hosted by the Children’s Home of Reading, blends sweet treats with meaningful conversations aimed at raising awareness about the need for foster families in the region.
The free community events will be held at popular ice cream spots in Berks and Lancaster Counties. Each stop offers visitors a complimentary ice cream voucher in exchange for stopping by to chat with CHOR’s foster care team. The events are designed to be low-pressure, family-friendly opportunities to ask questions and explore what fostering a child entails.
