City announces extension of Winter Wonderland Ice Skating at Santander Arena

When Winter Wonderland Ice Skating at the Santander Arena in downtown Reading was announced in November, the community responded in a big way.

All available slots were gone in record time, and due to this event’s great demand and success, Mayor Moran is happy to announce the addition of new dates.

The same QR Code issued previously can also be used to register for the new sessions.

“We look forward to seeing more families enjoy fun activities in downtown Reading, like Winter Wonderland Ice Skating,” said Mayor Moran.

“It is really special to see how many kids in our community experienced ice skating for the first time through this opportunity. I will continue to collaborate with our partners to provide entertainment opportunities like this in our great City.”

Winter Wonderland Community Ice Skating is a collaboration of the City of Reading, Santander Arena, Slapshot Charities, Reading Area Water Authority, and the Reading Parking Authority.

The additional dates for January are as follows: January 3rd, 5th, 6th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th, 16th, 17th, 19th, 22nd, 28th, and 31st. This event is free to register for and includes ice skate rentals for those that need them.
